Arsenal have made an enquiry over AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu ahead of a potential swoop late in the window, according to a report.
It was reported earlier in the week by SportMediaset that Calhanoglu is looking for a new destination this month and his agent Bektas Demirtas is working to find a new team for his client, with Arsenal having been offered the chance to sign the Turkey international.
This is despite the fact that Calhanoglu has been a regular under Stefano Pioli, holding the left wing spot until the recent change to a 4-4-2 formation, which has coincided with an injury.
According to the latest from il Corriere dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – Calhanoglu is actually considered a part of the Milan project at present.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man has shown Pioli that he has the quality and versatility to fit his plans, even if there is interest from abroad.
The paper adds that there has been a ‘request for information’ from Arsenal regarding the winger, who Calciomercato.com recently claimed is worth €20m.
