CorSport: €40m Napoli forward refuses renewal as Milan, Arsenal and Juventus circle

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan target Arkadiusz Milik has refused Napoli’s offer of a contract extension and will leave the club this summer, a report claims.

It is no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for a new centre-forward given the doubts over the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose deal expires at the end of the month.

One player who has been repeatedly linked is Milik, and La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Friday that he is on of two strikers the Milan management have identified who may be of use to Ralf Rangnick, the other being Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic.

The problem is economic as Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants €40m for the Pole despite the fact his deal runs out in a year, while Arsenal have been linked with Milik too.

Sunday’s edition of newspaper il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) reports that Milik has refused the contract renewal put on the plate by the Partenopei

The former Ajax star wants to change clubs at the end of the season and become a protagonist elsewhere, but an international transfer – to date – appears to be the most plausible solution.

However, the report adds to ‘watch out’ for Juventus and Milan , both very interested in the Napoli No.99.
