Charles De Ketelaere has failed to impose himself at AC Milan thus far and it’s clear that he needs a confidence boost to get back on the right track. The World Cup, in that sense, might be just what he needs.
The playmaker has been called up by Belgium and some believe that they could go far in the tournament. De Ketelaere won’t be a starter, battling first and foremost with Kevin De Bruyne, but he will surely get playing time.

As highlighted by Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), De Ketelaere will return to familiar ground and perhaps this is just what he needs to regain confidence and return to Milan with a spring in his step. This is, at least, what Milan hope will happen.
It could be as easy as getting a goal or an assist to spark his confidence. It goes without saying that he still needs time to fully adapt to Milan’s system, but confidence would absolutely facilitate that process.
