CorSport: Ibrahimovic makes his stance clear – he will remain at Milan under one condition

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not closed the door completely regarding a possible stay at AC Milan beyond the summer, a report claims.

Friday’s edition of newspaper il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) believes that the Swede will recover from his calf injury for either Lazio-Milan on 4 July or Milan-Juventus on July 7 – providing there are no further comp;ications.

Then, Ibrahimovic would have eight games remaining to try and help the Rossoneri reach the Europe League spots, but of course alongside this there will be discussions regarding whether he will be around to play in Europe next season.

From the striker’s point of view everything will depend on the meeting that he will have with CEO Ivan Gazidis, a decisive summit to understand if there will be any chances of an extension on his deal.

The 38-year-old will try to understand the future scenarios and in particular whether there will be any role for him under incoming new manager Ralf Rangnick.

If he received assurances, then there would be all the conditions to continue, but if not then the former PSG man would evaluate all the offer that Mino Raiola brings him, while the idea of a move to Hammarby – the Swedish club he owns 25% of – cannot be ruled out.
