CorSport: Improvement in Milan’s financial situation; losses reduced by €36m

By Oliver Fisher -

There is good news financially for AC Milan as they are set to reduce their losses by a substantial amount in 2019, according to a reports.

Today’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) takes a look at the financial situation of the Rossoneri and in particular the club’s losses.

Milan were very firmly in the red under Silvio Berlusconi and Yonghong Li’s respective ownership periods, but now it seems things are heading in the right direction.

The club registered a loss of €126m in 2018 and are expected close at a loss of about €90m this year – a net improvement of €36m.

Elliott Management continue to work on getting the club to be more financially stable through capital investments.

A huge part of their plan to increase the valuation involves a rise in revenue though, something which is linked to on-field performances. In that respect, the period between now and the end of the season will be crucial.
