It was not a classic game between Spezia and AC Milan yesterday, but one man who illuminated proceedings was Rafael Leao.
This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that it was Leao who tried to take charge in the second half against Spezia in a game that needed unlocking. The home side were determined to frustrate the Rossoneri and his injection of pace and trickery at the interval caught they eye.
The Portuguese winger did not show any signs of being timid, instead charging towards the Spezia goal and looking to put Zoet in difficulty. If he really has found the consistency that he has not shown so far, the paper writes, then he can become a real top player.
He has all the abilities to become one given the speed, confidence, dribbling and shooting prowess we have seen so far, but these good performances must become the norm.
