CorSport: Milan hatch an opportunistic plan to sign €40m forward from Chelsea

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping that they can be opportunistic and secure Hakim Ziyech on loan from Chelsea towards the end of the window, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Ziyech still occupies the first position in Milan’s list of targets for the role of attacking midfielder, after Hakan Calhanoglu chose not to accept the offer on the table and joined rivals Inter.

However, the paper writes that it will be a long and difficult operation because the aim of the Rossoneri management is to snatch him from Chelsea on loan at the end of the market. The Moroccan has found little space since Thomas Tuchel arrived as head coach and Milan could be the ideal solution, but only in a few weeks.

Chelsea paid a big fee for Ziyech – €40m according to most sources – and there was a lot of excitement surrounding the arrival of the forward from Ajax, but he amassed just four goals in 33 appearances across the Premier League and Champions League.

  1. Ziyech won’t add anything to this club. Already bad for Chelsea and let’s be honest Chelsea will be very very happy to sell him for 40m. Guy will be a very expensive flop. Please don’t sign.

  2. As a right wing, Yes. He is not suited as attacking midfielder. Anyway, this going to be a long drama till August
