AC Milan’s draw against Cremonese on Wednesday night was another frustrating setback in the push to try and secure a top four spot.

Now the Rossoneri have no more margin for error in the last five league games of the season, which will also be intersected by the two legs against Inter in the Champions League.
A terrible January, a difficult March and a poor recent period mean that Milan have amassed just 25 points in 18 games in Serie A since the turn of the year, with a fairly low average of 1.39 points per game.
An unacceptable performance that effectively sucked Pioli’s team into the Champions League race and they are also at risk of not even qualifying for the Europa League.
The calendar between now and the end of the season is a tough one given there are still Lazio and Juventus to play, with the former having won 4-0 in January at the Olimpico.
In addition, the Rossoneri will face three teams battling to avoid relegation. First is Spezia which is between the two legs against Inter, then Sampdoria who are rock bottom and now have one foot in Serie B and finally, on the very last day, Hellas Verona.
Milan’s performances against the lesser sides however does not make anyone rest assured, and a change in approach is needed to reach the top four.
