CorSport: Milan leaders in unanimous agreement regarding appointment of ex-Inter boss

By Oliver Fisher -

Luciano Spalletti may be the new frontrunner to take over at AC Milan, a report claims, as there is a unanimous agreement regarding his candidacy.

Stefano Pioli was appointment to replace Marco Giampaolo after seven games of the current campaign and although performances have improved on the whole the team is still highly unlikely to crack the top four at present.

There have been reports claiming Ralf Rangnick is the one wanted by Elliott Management amid rumours the German is in advanced talks with Milan, while there is also speculation regarding a disagreement inside the club about who should be the next head coach.

According to what il Corriere dello Sport are reporting on Wednesday (via Calciomercato.com) however, Luciano Spalletti is in fact one potential candidate who everyone in the management agrees would be a good appointment.

He was heavily linked with the role when Giampaolo was sacked but couldn’t agree a severance with Inter, but it may well be that the opportunity presents itself again this summer, when he will be free from other engagements.
