CorSport: Milan, PSG and Roma involved in midfield transfer triangle

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Roma have both been offered the chance to sign Georginio Wijnaldum from Paris Saint-Germain, but they face the same issues.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Wijnaldum has never settled at PSG and is ready to leave the French capital in the summer mercato having really struggled for playing time since making his move from Liverpool.

He was proposed to both Milan and Roma through his agent, but the Dutch midfielder earns over €9m per season which is a huge obstacle for the Giallorossi and for the Rossoneri too. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were offered him in the event they do not sign Renato Sanches, who is linked by PSG.

To complete the transfer triangle, Roma are in the market for a midfielder having put Davide Frattesi of Sassuolo on stand-by, while both Jordan Veretout – who is attracting interest in Milan – and Amadou Diawara may yet leave.
