CorSport: Milan head to Paris battling an emergency in attack – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

As seems to happen at the most important point in every season, AC Milan head to Paris Saint-Germain with a number of different injury problems.

As today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) reports, Milan have landed in Paris with an emergency in attack. The only substitute available for Stefano Pioli against PSG will be Luka Jovic, due to various injury problems.

The Rossoneri coach also lost Noah Okafor a few hours before the trip to France due to muscle fatigue. It is nothing serious for the Swiss forward, who could return to the squad against Napoli, but he will not be able to come off the bench this evening.

Samuel Chukwueze will also be out as was injured while playing for the Nigerian national team. Luka Romero won’t be there either as he was not included in the UEFA squad list, leaving the unconvincing (so far) Jovic as the only option.

Thus, the entire weight of the attack will once again rest on the trio of Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao as the front three.

  1. We only depend on defense and midfield, that’s why Milan concede less. Milan has no standard and dependable and prolific striker,Mr. Giroud has tried and tired. Attacking midfielders should be adding hot shot to their play styles.

  2. We don’t need Giroud in Attack. We need to play a 5-3-2 and counter with puli and Leao; Giroud won’t contribute anything and can’t play every three damn days like Pioli has been using him…
