The difficulty that AC Milan are having in reaching an agreement with Hakan Calhanoglu over a renewal has led other teams to take interest
According to Thursday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive), Milan are not making much progress towards the renewal of Calhanoglu and at the moment his exit must be taken into consideration as a possibility.
Among the clubs that are closely monitoring the situation are Atletico Madrid, and the paper adds that Diego Simeone is very interested in getting his hands on Milan’s playmaker, as he is a player that he has appreciated for a long time and now his form has exploded in recent months.
Atletico are ready to take advantage of the situation if Calhanoglu and Milan fail to find an agreement over a renewal, but directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are hard at work with agent Gordon Stipic to try and move towards the white smoke and avoid losing a prized asset for nothing.
