AC Milan intend to fully support Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the face of any accusations of racism and discrimination, according to a report.
News arrived yesterday confirming that the Federal Prosecutor’s Office has decided to open an investigation into the dispute that broke out between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku in the Coppa Italia game between Milan and Inter.
Prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné opened the proceedings yesterday morning and has asked referee Paolo Valeri for his observations, which will be used to determine what words he heard the players use.
According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan condemned Ibrahimovic’s actions during the dispute with Lukaku in the Coppa Italia derby, but remain convinced that the Swede did not use any racist phrase towards the Inter player.
Because of this, the club are absolutely at the side of their striker and are also ready to back him in case he is accused of racism.
