CorSport: Milan’s strategy proven right by fantastic growth of Thiaw

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have focused heavily on youngsters since Elliott Management took over the club in 2018. And with RedBird now in charge, this strategy won’t change and it’s starting to pay off as well.

Earlier this week, the Rossoneri reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in eleven years, beating Tottenham 1-0 on aggregate. The average age of the defence in that game was 23.8, which says a lot.

As highlighted by Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the recent explosion of Malick Thiaw has proven Milan and their strategy right. He wasn’t rushed into play either, but rather Stefano Pioli waited for the right moment.

It remains to be seen who the next breakout player will be. Most fans are hoping that Charles De Ketelare can find the back of the net and break the negative trend, especially given that Milan paid €30-35m for his services in the summer.

  1. I Advice Acmilan to sign by any means the 16-year-old Croatian defensive sensation Luka Vuskovic.
And to be the First Move Advantage aswell as the First Come the First Served.
And Add Him the First team or Send Him to Loan Spell under the condition of Making Him First Line upps.
    Sell Kjear.
