CorSport: Milan to miss out as Inter close in on €35m Tonali deal – player gives approval

By Oliver Fisher -

Inter are closing in on finally sealing a deal for Sandro Tonali and ending the transfer saga surrounding the Brescia midfielder, a report claims.

Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for Tonali, who is a boyhood fan of the Rossoneri, though it has always been claimed that their city rivals Inter are ahead in the race.

There have been suggestions from various sources that Juventus could re-enter the race for the 20-year-old too, having named Andrea Pirlo as their new head coach, a player Tonali continues to be likened to.

However, il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting that Tonali is firmly set on a move to Inter and is convinced by the idea of working under Antonio Conte and wearing the Nerazzurri jersey.

The right formula must be found, but Inter are ready to launch a bid on the basis of a paid loan at €10m with obligation to buy set at €25m that will be paid into Brescia’s accounts in the summer of 2021.
