AC Milan will not wait forever for Marcus Thuram to make a decision and that is why alternative options are being probed, a report claims.
As Corriere dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) writes this morning, the number one target is Thuram who will leave Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer and ticks virtually every box in terms of the profile of striker Milan are looking for.
He has plenty of experience and was with the French national team at the World Cup in Qatar, while he has potential to get even better. However, there is competition from PSG who can offer a higher salary and RB Leipzig are keen too now.
Milan have done what they can by offering €5m net per season and a guaranteed starting spot, but they can not and will not wait too long for a response which is why alternatives are being looked at.
The paper claims that Fabio Silva is on the list. He spent last season split between loan spells at Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven, playing 51 games in total with 16 goals and 6 assists, at just 20 years old.
However, it remains to be seen if Wolves will agree to let the player leave on a permanent basis or are looking for another loan.
Meanwhile, Lorenzo Colombo will begin preseason with Milan and will try to convince the coaching staff. Then, the Rossoneri will decide whether to send him on loan for another year or give him a chance as an alternative.
Thuram is probably waiting to see who the PSG coach will be. I mean he will not sign for them without knowing this and speaking to the new coach. And Fabio Silva is probably worse than Andre Silva…
Milan need high level forward not those Barbie’s…
