CorSport: Projected profit and revenue growth – Milan’s financial health key to summer spending

One of the reasons that AC Milan have managed to have such a busy start to the summer is thanks to the financial health the club is enjoying.

Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) write today that Milan are able to carry out such an ambitious summer window because of the work started in recent years by Elliott Management and then continued by RedBird Capital on an economic level.

The Rossoneri’s expenditure is the highest in Serie A and that is because that the sale of Sandro Tonali was not needed to cover any losses, so the amount recouped could be fully reinvested plus a bit more too.

A profit of €15m is expected in the next accounts which shows that the path in recent years is beginning to bear fruit, given losses of over €200m were recorded in 2018-19.

In addition, revenues have grown by 30%. If three years ago they amounted to about €192m, today they are at double, around €370-380m.

In particular, it is in the ‘commercial turnover’ sector that the Rossoneri are growing thanks to seven new or renewed advertising contracts that have been announced in the last three months.

  1. Still a bit worrying that we have to get to a UCL semi final in order to make any profit! But going in the right direction, that’s impressive.

  2. No way, some financial geniouses here in this forum claim the Americans are here to rob us and they just want to sell players for their own profit. Bla bla bla we should spend 100M+ a season on nee players to get to the top?

Seria A win, CL semi final, CL qualifying, very good transfer window so far. No not enough for some here.

Good things are build slowly and with plan behind which includes healthy finances.

Everyone needs CL latter stages to do well, thats money you can hardly win elsewhere. Not to mention cascading effect on image boost that brings you lucrative sponsorship contracts.

Once we have our own stadium, finaly separated from Inter we will be one of the best teams in Europe, place where we always belonged.

Berlusconi god rest his soul got to carried away with politics otherwise we would have probably been ahead of Real now

    1. They want a 500m a year and already at 420m, this ownership and management are working wonders and attacking the US market, the biggest economy in the world!!

When we have our own stadium we are looking at 100m+ transfer windows regularly!!!
