Fiorentina are still refusing to accept any discounts on their valuation of star defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to a report.
A number of different outlets have confirmed Milan’s interest in signing Milenkovic as they look to bolster their defensive ranks, though it appears a deal is no closer to being completed despite favourable relations with his agent Fali Ramadani.
As reported by Sunday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive), Fiorentina are continuing to demand €40million if they are to let their prized young centre-back depart this summer.
It is a figure considered too high for Milan who do not want to spend so much on a central defender, even if Milenkovic seems an ideal choice.
Head coach Stefano Pioli knows the 22-year-old well and admires him, but without the asking price coming down it will be really difficult for Milan to be able to sign this player.
Furthermore, Fiorentina blocked all offers involving counterparts, meaning it is unlikely that Lucas Paqueta could be included.
