The checks and official announcements have not yet come but it is a real possibility that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played his last game of the season, a report claims.
According to a report from Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the sensations are not good on the Ibrahimovic front. The Swede pulled up during his warm-ups with a muscle problem before he was set to come on during the 2-0 win over Lecce.
It is the second calf problem that the 41-year-old has had after the one he sustained in the national team and had only just recovered from.
An official bulletin from the Milan medical staff is still awaited, but unfortunately there is the very real possibility that Zlatan’s season is already over.
What that means for his future is unknown. The former PSG and Manchester United striker is in his 40s now and has obtained the record for oldest Serie A goal scorer but his body seems to be giving up on him.
