CorSport: Okafor given another chance to impress for Milan against Genoa

By Euan Burns -

Swiss forward Noah Okafor has started to impress at AC Milan in recent weeks and that should lead to him getting another start when the Rossoneri take on Genoa, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), Okafor is settling in very quickly and he grabbed another goal last weekend against Cagliari in Sardinia.

Despite suggestions that he could start at the centre of an attacking three, he may actually play on the left instead of Rafael Leao and then Luka Jovic will be the primary striker.

With two goals in two Serie A games, it would be wise of Stefano Pioli to let Okafor build on his form so that he becomes a more confident player.

Having players like Okafor and Jovic allows Pioli to not rely quite as heavily on Leao and Olivier Giroud, which is key to fighting on multiple fronts throughout a campaign.

  1. Well said. The coach should play Okafor,Jovic and Chukwueze. If he makes use of them ,the players have a feeling the Coach believes in them. Pioli should stop relying on Giroud so much all in the name of Tactics. He is 37. Whiles you have a Player in Jovic who is 25. We can’t rely also on Leao all season. There needs to be competition. This is the only way the team remains strong. For instance ,see how Pep plays Jeremy Doku. If it were Pioli,he would give all the reasons why a player can’t play immediately.

    1. Yes, a forever lazy, out of shape 25 year old called Jovic. Do you see his belly on the pictures? Dude is fat for a footballer. He reminds me a bit of R9 Ronaldo, but he was ill, not lazy. I think even Giroud is better than Jovic.

  2. Okafor deserves it, he has shown he can score and considering the minutes he played he has 1 goal per 90 minutes. He needs to maybe even start in front of Giroud and Jovic right now, in other matches as well.
