CorSport: Pioli decides against mass rotation for important Lecce game

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is not expected to rotate the starting line-up much for Sunday’s match against Lecce at San Siro, according to a report.

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) reports that the Milan boss could change three players against Lecce compared to the side that took to the field against Napoli in midweek.

The first one is forced because Davide Calabria will serve a disqualification and thus Alessandro Florenzi should come in for him. Oliver Giroud’s condition could see Ante Rebic come back in, while there may be a change on the right wing.

Milan are looking to reverse a trend of having drawn both games following their Champions League matches and having only amassed six points in their last six games in Serie A, with the top four race now more complicated after Juventus got their points back for now.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Krunic; Messias, Bennacer, Leao; Giroud.

  1. 6/24 points in the last 6 games. Except for the Bologna result, it’s dismal. We should be comfortably in 3rd/4th (whichever it is depending on Juventus’ situation). We are definitely a better team than Roma.

  2. At least PIOLI’S MILAN SHOULD start to work for a minimum of 20 more points to guarantee NEXT UCL 2024 QUALIFICATIONS. The team and the fans need you to gather the POINTS. FORZA MILANO

  3. Roma,Lazio and Juventus are the cog in the wheel, SIR PIOLI HOW DO WE OVERCOME THEM WITHOUT AFFECTING UCL

  4. Doing like vs bologna very risky. Maignan, Theo,Leao,Brahim,Tonali,Bennacer should starter . Dont use origi anymore as starter. Just play him as sub
