AC Milan have undergone changes this summer with eight signings having arrived so far, and two of them came from the same club looking for a fresh start.
As Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) recall, Milan have been shopping in Chelsea’s window again after Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud, signing winger Christian Pulisic and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The American has come to Italy to get a starting spot and also to get back to his best form after a difficult last couple of seasons in west London, while Milan know his quality and his ability to churn out goals and assists make him a complete player.
Pulisic is in fact equipped with technique, a brilliant vision of the game and a good weak foot. CEO Giorgio Furlani described him as ‘extraordinary’ and was keen to stress that over 90% of the reason Milan signed him is for his ability as a player rather than as a marketing boost.
Meanwhile, Loftus-Cheek is back from a brilliant preseason where he was the author of the most goals for the Rossoneri. In the penultimate friendly match against Etoile Sportive du Sahel he netted a hat-trick, showing his attacking propensity.
His physical frame makes him a perfect mezzala as he is both able to recover balls from opponents and to insert himself between the opposing lines to break them up.
It therefore seems that Milan have clear ideas for next season: the goal remains to win, and they have signed two players entering their prime years who have qualities to show and a point to prove.

Maybe RLC will be the SMS we wanted
I forosee them doing well.forza milan
Stefano Pioli please play the 4-2-3-1 is better than the 4-3-3 Loftus cheek should be converted to a more defensive midfield because our players can score especially leao. Leao can flow easily in 4-2-3-1 but find it difficult to score in 4-3-3 so Pioli please let stick to our 4-2-3-1 we need chukwueze, pulisic leao and Geroud is important
RLC is not and has never been great at defense, which was evident from his time at Chelsea. His size makes him a bit too clumsy footed and slow to take on the smaller and quicker midfielders and forwards.
He’s at his best as a box to box midfielder. He would be a terrible to mediocre defensive mid
you cant play as box to box without being able to play defense. Its a 10…
Musah has the quickness and one on one challenging toughnes and ball control skills to quickly turn into a defensive midfielder. He’s already played that position a couple of times for the USMNT.
He so far hasn’t shown the same sort of scoring ability that RLC has shown.
Yes, he covered for the destroyer tyler adams when he was injured. Hes a very good defender in pressure situations and recovery situations. Much different profile from RLC who has shown his scoring ability but not a high workrate in transition. If you combined them, we would be golden…
“Pulisic is in fact equipped with technique, a brilliant vision of the game and a good weak foot. CEO Giorgio Furlani described him as ‘extraordinary’ and was keen to stress that over 90% of the reason Milan signed him is for his ability as a player rather than as a marketing boost.”
Not a correct description of his abilities or career thus far. If he wasn’t a commercial signing it would 100% about be his play on the pitch and it wouldn’t have been mentioned. This is make sure pulisics ego is stroked because he is actually a huge baby.
Also. CEOs of big companies (minus Musk) generally dont need to explain themselves unless they’ve made a mistake. And even then they dont reveal their strategy. Football included.
Furlani is also new to football as professional so from a playing perspective he probably sees what casual fans see in him. He also goes on to explain the reason for marketing part of transfer. Its double talk plain and simple.
If it’s not 100% about his football, its a commercial transfer. I will say it again and again..
Whatever he does on the pitch is bonus.
Whether takes people 3 mins, 3 months , or 3 years to realize it is a different conversation.
Your logic is flawed. If we signed Messi would it not have a massive commercial impact? Inter Miami signed him, why? They need the best player on the planet to win MLS? Of course not. Any player with a brand and individual fan base will bring some commercial appeal in addition with their skills as a footballer. You need to be reminded that football is a business as well as a sport. Excelling commercially will always allow the team to grow from a footballing perspective. You cannot separate them.
Pulisic has a huge margeting boost Because hes a baller and really good, and one of the fastest players on the planet. And he can dunk a basketball, think about that for a second.
No, he has one only because of his nationality and being the best among the average in that nation…he is a good player, but no kid outside of the US want to be him. Or ever will…
100%
Loftus-Cheek is responsible for as many goals as he has scored…how does it feel like defense has lost all its importance.
All blame goes to the backline and DM. The whole point of the formation is to have players that can do both offense and defense on the field.
He’s not half as bad as Montolivo was at giving the ball away buddy. And that was our regista and captain
just seems weird that the coach isn’t reallly looking to him to change what hes doing.
RLC is looking really good. Lets just hope he stays fit and continue such form in the league outside of the pre-season. I think he will. People blaming RLC for goals conceded don’t know anything about football.
um person here. Watch the the goals against Juve and Barca and tell me who is most responsible….
He didn’t even watch it. 😂
for real…i see a lot of complaints about pulisic, but somehow this a good pre-season for RLC?…he’s given away goal after goal…
granted the Barca one was beautiful and not really anyone’s fault, but his angling on defense left me worried.
Milan Fans: Mom can we get Kessie to help Tonali. Our midfield sucked last year.
Mom: Daddy Cardi G says we already have them at home, RLC and Krunic. We sold one Tonali who scores three points in the PL to get 3 more Tonalis who struggled in Serie B out of his youth academy. Trust me kid, i’d never lie to you, everything will be fine.
Then Daddy leaves after spending two minutes with his kid, bangs his mom so she can get 20 bucks more from him after his alimony cheque bounced.
Milan fans have become that confused kid that doesn’t know their Dad uses his Mom as a dumpster before going to the strip club.
Do You Ever Look at Someone and Wonder, “What Is Going On Inside Their Head?”
Oh really !!!! If he is that brilliant then ho2 come he can’t dribble people? How come he was always on the bench for Chelsea? Stop acting like english bandits and overhype players who fit your profile !!! SAMU Chokweze is the one who do it all, dribble 1,2,3 players. Beautiful left foot, speed, assists of all kind. Many clubs were after him !!!! The american player had Milan and LYON after him !!!!! No club in europe went after him. Calm down and stop overhype the dude. He is an average player and you’ll see that very soon. The problem is Pioli, he had a poor eye for Talent!! He will put Samuel Chokweze on the bench and will play the Chelsea reject winger! He let Lucas Paquetta leave Milan for Krunic !!! Now look at Lucas Paquetta !!! He put Leao on the bench a million times for REBIC !!!!!!!! I wish Milan can bring us a talented manager like Zidane.
Well they have to talk good to feel better about the signings. These 2 were by far the worst signings. They should have used that money to buy 1 proper midfielder…
Wow. Lots of bitching and whining. Again! You whiners are really ruining this site. Or at least the comments section.
And what is your comment? 🤣
Observation. Based on facts. 🙂
