CorSport: The first four negotiations RedBird intend to tackle at Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are facing a crucial summer and the new owners RedBird Capital already have four moves in mind as their first steps, a report claims.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the American fund are ready to get to grips with the task at hand after completing their takeover of the Rossoneri from compatriots Elliott Management, who will remain with a minority stake to guarantee continuity.

Speaking of which, the first two moves will be to renew two key figures of the recent resurgence in directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. Their contracts are expiring on June 30th, so it is a matter of relative urgency.

That day will also be the deadline for the decision on the option to buy of both defender Alessandro Florenzi and winger Junior Messias. Milan seem willing to buy both: for the former man it will be necessary to pay Roma €4.5m while for the latter the management want a discount on the €5.5m agreed with Crotone.
