CorSport: Theo Hernandez wants long stay at AC Milan; Rossoneri will reject all offers

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to reject any and all advances that arrive this summer for star full-back Theo Hernandez, according to a report.

The uncertainty at management level has seeped down to key members of the playing squad, with suggestions from Tuttosport that even Theo could be sacrificed this summer if a huge offer were to arrive.

The Frenchman arrived from Real Madrid last summer for a fee widely reported to be €20million, and in 22 Serie A games he has become the club’s second-top scorer with five goals and two assists, plus a goal in the Coppa Italia.

According to il Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday (via MilanLive), the 22-year-old was in particular an intuition of Paolo Maldini, with the technical director even flying to Spain to convince him to join Milan over Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli.

Theo Hernandez is also the second youngest defender to have scored at least five goals in the five major European leagues this season.

The player, of course, is also happy with his performances. The paper adds that he has integrated very well into the city and plans to stay for a long time. Although the club is well aware that it will have to reject offers for its jewels, Theo included, they intend to raise a wall and block every advance for the former Alaves man.
