CorSport: ‘Tomori in trouble’ – Pavlovic to be handed opportunity against Udinese

With Fikayo Tomori’s recent performances, there are questions about his position in the AC Milan team. For this reason, Strahinja Pavlovic could be given a chance to gain a spot in the team, especially after recent events.

This season, the English central defender has been far from his best, and this much is clear to see. However, the truest showing was against Fiorentina, where his level of performance was below the levels set this season, let alone in previous years.

Additionally, his mental levels are not up to the standard required. Given Paulo Fonseca looked at him in the summer to lead his defensive line, there are questions about the defender’s mentality after the penalty incident, so he is set to be benched by the head coach.

As Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News) reports, the Englishman will probably be replaced by Pavlovic – who has been absent in recent weeks – and this could be the chance for the Serbian defender to refind himself within the squad.

Alternatively, it could offer Tomori the break that he clearly needs, a chance to revitalise himself and reflect on his recent performances. A sign of his drop in form, and a chance to recooperate himself, allowing him to return to his best.

  1. I’m really frustrated with Tomori. He’s been a negative force at Milan; yelling at his teammates, antagonizing refs, disrespecting teammates, disobeying his coach’s orders, and often committing damaging errors that have resulted in goals for opponents and dropped points. I can’t see any positives. If this continues, Milan should sell him in January, if there are any takers.

  2. If I had the Power, I would call Newcastle and see if they would swop 2 English Man (Tomori and Loftus-Cheek) for an Italian (Tonali). Keith 🇲🇹

  3. doubt they will do that would be a happy man if that would happen but since moncada has been with this team he has kept a paper where it says “no italians” until we have this clown it is gonna be tough to see italians at this team

    1. Isn’t Gabbia Italian? The view that Italians are more important is staggering? At that point, we should only use players born in the city of Milan😂 sign the best players that fit a system. Pretty simple concept, regardless of country of origin
