CorSport: Two Milan targets in Napoli’s sights as they look to replace Everton-linked star

By Oliver Fisher -

Napoli have joined AC Milan in the race to sign two young midfielders as they prepare for the possible departure of Allan, a report claims.

Monday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) writes that Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli is evaluating different profiles for if Allan were to leave (he has been strongly linked with Everton), and two midfielders are on both their wish list and that of Milan.

The duo in question are Empoli’s Samuele Ricci and AZ Alkmaar’s Teun Koopmeiners, both of whom Milan are believed to have scouted as they look to launch a youth-led revolution under the tutelage of Ralf Rangnick this summer.

The former is compared to Marco Verratti by the report in terms of his characteristics and at 19 he is one of the brightest midfield talents in Italian football, while Koopmeiners is already the captain of AZ at the age of just 22.

Meanwhile, another report is claiming that Lucas Torreira has ended up back in Milan’s sights, another player heavily linked with both the Rossoneri and Napoli.
