Coubis makes first Milan Futuro appearance after 448-day absence: “I’m back”

By Oliver Fisher -

Looking down the team sheet for Milan Futuro’s Coppa Italia Lega Pro game against Novara last night, the name of Andrei Coubis stood out.

Coubis had a long ordeal caused by a serious knee injury which forced him to miss the entirety of the 2023-24 season, which was far from ideal given that prior to that he was regarded as one of the best talents in the Primavera.

However, reports towards the end of last season stated that Coubis was ready to return and would do so with Daniele Bonera’s U23 team, given the club management to finally obtain official registration for the 2024-25 Serie C season.

Now 20 years of age, the hope is that Coubis can continue his development and at a higher level and an exit was never contemplated. He came on during the last few minutes of the win last night, finally making his competitive return.
