The game ends 0-2 after two late goals from the Rossoneri, courtesy of Pavlovic and Leao. The truth is that they should have scored already in the first half, missing some big chances. In any case, at least they got the win in the end.
Fullkrug flicks it on to Nkunku, putting him through on goal, and the Frenchman passes to Leao for an open net.

The second half hasn’t been quite as entertaining as the first, with both teams seemingly a bit more cautious.

It’s been a very entertaining first half at Stadio Giovanni Zini. Both teams with good chances, pushing forward as soon as possible (without too many passes in the build-up), and from Milan’s POV, two clear-cut chances to take the lead.
Brilliant save by Audero to deny a low shot from Fofana! That looked like it was going in!

Fofana (again) sends Pulisic through on goal but he’s denied by the keeper! Perhaps should have scored there still.
Massa has been quite poor in this first half, barely giving anything to Milan despite some obvious fouls. Really strange officiating in that sense, even if the rest has been good.
Brilliant pass from Fofana to put Leao through but after a somewhat poor first touch, he misses the target completely! That had to be a goal.
Another good chance for Cremonese, this time Vardy sends his volley effort wide.
Bonazzoli fires just wide. Good cross from Pezzella and nearly the opener for Cremonese.
Feels like Milan haven’t been given a single free-kick, some weird stuff let go by Massa so far.
As usual, midfielders have lost dangerous balls (Fofana, Modric). Fortunately both De Winter and Bartesaghi have won duels or blocked well, so far.
Great cross by Rabiot (I still think it’s a mistake to start him due to the yellow card situation) but Rafa missed.
Good actions by Rafa now but Rabiot was offside.
Each time we face a corner kick I’m afraid that Mike won’t come out to intercept and we’ll concede a goal.
Maignan is worldclass on the line but he definitely leaves something to be desired when he has to leave it and often also makes me nervous in those situations.

Again Alexis does well but then tries to score instead of passing, and Alexis is a very bad finisher. Wide right.
Yeah. It’s so sad he fails the last 5%. Also he shouldn’t get down so easily .
Alexis outs himself saying he flips regularly and then continues to flop expecting to get fouls called and is surprised when it doesn’t work

It actually looks like we are going to get scored on, by a team who hasn’t scored in the last 7 games, and I don’t see us getting one across the line ourselves….
The best chances so far were produced by Cremonese, a team that has had trouble scoring and has a minus 15 goal differential, and is only one spot removed from the relegation zone. Again we are struggling against a small team. I wish we’d have a 4-3-3 formation and attacked more energetically but it seems like Allegri is very stubborn and rarely changes his 3-5-2 although the Rafa-Puli upfront hasn’t worked at all.
The more matches I watch, the more certain I am that a team like this will not have the capacity to play two competitions in parallel next season!

This season was our best opportunity to win the scudetto since most other teams had European competition and we didn’t and since serie A is so awful this season.
An opportunity like this won’t come again.

Missing happens but when there is a better opportunity to pass you pass the damn ball, this isn’t about individuals.
We should be leading with several goals by now. Horrible finishing.
Fofana 1st half masterclass wasted by Leao and Pulisic.
It’s not that our offense hasn’t been creative and hasn’t provided opportunities. The issue was the incredible misses. We had huge misses by Alexis, Rafa, and Puli, and a rare on-target attempt by Fofana that was saved by the merit of Cremonese’s goalkeeper.
You HAVE to convert these chances to remain competitive. Milan’s inability to score has been our most consistent feature, unfortunately.
Fofana has had a good game; arguably our best player in first half; should have had an assist and could have had a goal. Rafa is actually quite active, appearing physically better, but that miss hurts. Pulisic continues to be inaccurate in his finishing which is the exact opposite of what he did in the first half of the season and in previous seasons. I don’t know what is going on with Puli. A mental block, like Gimenez’s?
De Winter also did well. Bartesaghi was mixed; some good defensive actions (although he allowed a dangerous shot) but less precise in helping the offense than in some earlier games. Tomori gave away a dangerous ball but did OK otherwise. Pavlovic was also a mixed bafg. Modric was OK. Pulisic not only missed a 1v1 but if he had passed to Rafa on his right, it would have been an empty net goal. Rabiot was OK. Alexis again did a lot but lacked the end product; that is, he was the usual Alexis.
The ref didn’t give us many fouls that were real. Again we have an anti-Milan biased ref; I’m just waiting to see that he’ll produce a yellow against Rabiot and Alexis, taking them out of the Derby.
This first half was very frustrating, as we missed essential opportunities and gave away dangerous shots to Cremonese.
Miss chances are part of football, but creating more chances gives you attempts to score, Man city, Real Madrid, Barcelona miss chances too but they create more chances to score, Allegri stop playing defensive football, Leo is not a striker, play 4-3-3 attacking football, it is clear like day.
I’m glad someone here understands the basics.

Rafa clearly better physically, having more touches than in most recent games, but still, it doesn’t mean he’s having a good game, with hurtful misses. He just produced a good run, got to the back line but instead of crossing, his last touch was too long and he lost the ball to the line. These imprecise touches today can’t benefit from the excuse that he’s physically poor.
We look less energized in the first ten minutes of the second half, than in the first half, which is a problem. I have a bad feeling about this game.
Alexis having a bad game, just lost another dangerous ball. Athekame actually has been better than Alexis and should be starting. Alexis’ good games of the first half of the season are completely gone; he’s had a serious of bad games, since the Roma disaster.
Atekhame is clearly better than Saelemaekers. Alexis is jus a headless chicken .

Who notices when Allegri switches to 3 players up front then the goals came in, Leo played his preferred left wing, then Fullkrug played central striker then Pulišić to the right, this is the best formation

Allegri had one mission today; Go to Cremonese and come back with 3pts!!! That’s the only mission in his head, the only mission management cares about and the only thing that matters today. Mission accomplished! On to the derby!
