There is not a lot to be overjoyed about surrounding AC Milan at the moment, but Rafael Leao’s renewal could soon become something worth celebrating.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) report that an important meeting is on the agenda of the Milan management for tomorrow as they will sit down with lawyer Ted Dimvula to discuss Leao’s renewal.
His current agreement is worth €1.5m net per season and will expire in June 2024, and the paper adds that there is an air of veiled optimism about the renewal of Leao. There is in fact a concrete possibility of reaching an agreement with the Portuguese winger, on the basis of a €7.5m net per season salary including bonuses.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to convince the No.17 to stay, but it is not yet known whether everything can be resolved in tomorrow’s scheduled meeting or if others may be needed to finally get pen on paper.
Milan are heading into the meeting feeling ‘relaxed’ about the situation as is not seen as the decisive summit of the whole affair, though positive signs must emerge.
Wow. Leave him for free like you did with so many players in last 10 years.
Last two years, is equal to 10 years?
Cash is king. Leao will probably leave for free. Donnarumma is his idol.
No donnaruma isn’t the idol of leao. Now leao prolly thinking I need to leave so I can save my career when there’s still time
You think? He will save, his career by leaving?
Do you realise, his contract expires in 2024? So, it’s naive to think that, he will leave for free..
