The Curva Sud Milano have published a strong statement regarding the current goings on at AC Milan related to the ownership situation and the season in general.
It would be fair to say that this is a turbulent time for Milan, given that their last four games have included a Europa League elimination by Roma, a draw with relegation-battling Sassuolo and a sixth straight derby defeat.
In the latest instalment of a historic rivalry, Milan face the trip to face Juventus today knowing that a victory would help put a very bad past few days behind them and would also open up an eight-point gap to Juve, but a defeat would once again reopen the battle for second.
However, the headlines are not about an important game, rather the news that Julen Lopetegui is closing in on being named as the new head coach to replace Stefano Pioli.
The Curva have now shared a statement on Instagram in which they address the various stories that are floating around about Milan and also includes a reflection on the current campaign.
“The season is coming to an end and the mediocrity that characterised it for almost the entire duration has left room for a fatal and disastrous ending which, as if that wasn’t enough, was amplified even more by the infamous declarations of some directors as well as by the rumours relating to the name of the future coach which make us understand once again more how the ambition of reliving the times gone by is not a primary prerogative of this club.
“Almost 2 years have passed since the arrival of Mr. Cardinale, a transitory and adjustment phase was to be considered more than legitimate but now the time has come to get to the point and demonstrate with facts the real objectives of the club, that is, whether to build a ambitious team, or set up from year to year a team capable of scraping by in the positions that guarantee access to the Champions League while waiting for the new stadium to be built and nothing more.
“It must be clear to everyone that if the answer were the latter, we are not in favour of it! It is more than legitimate that we cannot think of spending the rivers of money invested by other clubs in other leagues on the market, but you can’t think of becoming great again by building the team solely through a few transfers and then reinvesting the money in non-established players.
“You can’t think of having a winning project if, now almost May, you still don’t know who the new player will be coach and consequently it becomes difficult to set up a team on the market that is compatible with the needs of the new coach. Total chaos reigns within the club between deafening silences, embarrassing communication strategies to say the least and lack of clarity of roles.
“Gentlemen, patience is over! Milan is not a product on which to speculate and Milan is not a place that is content to participate. Milan has a people behind it who by history and tradition are used to to be in the elite of world football.
“This ownership thinks it is up to these prerogatives and will demonstrate it with concrete facts (and the choice of the new coach will already make us understand a lot), will continue to enjoy the tireless support of a madly people. in love. If this isn’t the case, forget about living Milan as a happy island, as you have done up to now… Always with Milan in your heart!”

Action speaks louder than letter! Demonstrate your love for the club by boycotting matches, by the time the presidents and management sees empty seats everywhere…they will seat tight and make amendments
Be patient guys. Wise man is patient man.
Management will pick new player before new coach. Summer transfer finish time is still long.
I think you should read it more as a warning as i see it, if they doesnt do something worthy of the clubs history then…. they shouldnt expect a quiet summer from the curva sud. Thats at least how i percieve it.
Sorry, i don’t really understand what they say, because it is too long and too abstract.
They should speak straight to the point. So everybody understand the message.
ok 😀 well think it was pretty clear but thats fine.
They needed 1 year to realise they have no other plan than filling their empty pockets ,when actually Paolo challanged them to show the cash and buy real players to make performance…Thats why they got rid of him.Milan will suffer all this time these frauds are here
Curva sud aint gonna do anything. They never did. Arent doing now, wont do either in future.
Its not teh same curva as the 90s.
Well they might not act as i would hope for them to do but there is nevertheless a warning in their statement. Time will tell if its just empty words though.
Sometimes id wish the curva sud would act like some of the balkan fans would do as they are definitely not to be trifled with.
Meanwhile Julen Lopetegui reportedly rejects West Ham in Milan’s favour!
Hypocrites! They never protested against the manner in which Maldini and Massara was kicked out. Let them sing Furlani’s name or shut their mouths and wait for the new stadium. 🤣🤣🤣
Oh the club is not in good hands, what a surprise 🥱
To get the point across, Curva Sud needs to boycott the last games of the season to get the point across. Otherwise it’s just empty words.
That’s American ownership for you. Anyone in business knows that you stick to what you know best. The yanks should stick to the “glitz and glamour” and the “razzmatazz” of the NFL.
American ownership has zero success in European football (Liverpools champions league success was directed by a Liverpudlian).
We will share a fate the same as Chelsea unless Mr Cardinale accepts that he needs knowledgeable people like Maldini and Masara. Sadly, the arrogant idiot sacked them as they spoke the truth.
A bit late from curva sud. Chaos started when they sacked M&M . And curva sud actually backed cardinale and company, big mistake. Lets see what the future holds. But this is definitely amateur hour from cardinale and co, and that’s crazy when cardinale has fingerprints on many sporting venues.
They start to sound like Maldini.
Also the Curva: “We don’t go into the merits of corporate choices, it’s not up to us to make assessments on the work of managers, coaches and players.”
And also, after the summer: “We haven’t seen a Milan that moved so well on the market for years,…We asked for the leap in quality after the first purchases, we trusted you with a ‘carry on like this’, today it is clear that the path taken has never been more satisfying!
We were certain that strong corporate moves must then be supported by facts and so it was!! “
