Daily Mail: Casper Stylsvig to leave Milan in favour of new challenge at Chelsea

Another report has claimed that Casper Stylsvig will be leaving AC Milan in favour of a new challenge back in England, this time with Chelsea.

According to the Daily Mail, the ‘revolving door at Chelsea’ is not just restricted to players. Chief executive Chris Jurasek confirmed the departure of president of business Tom Glick, with some new blood expected to come in.

Jurasek was recruited from a company funded by Clearlake Capital – the private-equity firm that fronted the takeover alongside co-chairman Todd Boehly – and he came in at the end of May.

The first of three moves made was to name Jason Gannon as chief operating officer, who was previously the managing director of SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL.

Gannon will oversee some important development work on Stamford Bridge, while Adriel Lares has been appointed chief financial officer joining the Blues from Stash, a San Francisco-based financial services firm.

Finally, Casper Stylsvig will arrive from Milan as chief revenue officer next month. Having formerly worked in England at Manchester United and Fulham, he will be tasked with exploiting new revenue streams.

Ever since Elliott Management took control of the club in 2018 and since the change in ownership to RedBird Capital, Milan have grown massively in global appeal thanks to new sponsorships and partnerships. Stylsvig has been at the heart of that, given his role.
