Daily Mail: Newcastle have internally discussed move for Milan midfield star

Newcastle United are in the market for a new central midfielder this summer and Sandro Tonali is a player they have spoken about, a report claims.

A report from the Daily Mail starts by claiming that winger Allan Saint-Maximin has decided he wants to stay at Newcastle and play in the Champions League, which complicates their plans as he was being lined up for a sale to raise funds.

Now Saint-Maximin is looking to earn a new deal and will compete with Anthony Gordon for a starting spot on the wing, while he believes playing in Europe’s top club competition can ‘provide him with the platform’ to make the France squad also.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are believed to be in pursuit of Leicester City’s James Maddison but the valuation of £60m (€70m) has seen them look at alternative targets, such as RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Milan adds that ‘the merits of AC Milan’s Italy international Sandro Tonali’ have been floated again.

  1. Acmilan big team sign players is just difficult look at Newcastle of yesterday is signing players because they qualify for champions league is too painful

    1. My guy, Newcastle has the richest owner in world football. They can sign whoever they want, but Tonali isn’t leaving.

  2. At least here I think we will all agree! Tonali won’t go anywhere since he’s living his childhood dream playing for this jersey. Forza Sandro!

  3. Why would he want to leave AC Milan for Newcastle.
In comparison AC Milan have the better players and can achieve more than them next season ..
I am very excited for AC Milan and Italian football which is very strong and on the way up ..inter gave a good account of themselves against Many city ,and they were at least equal to city ,the game could have gone either way ..So tonali will stay with us ..It’s AC. Milan for me ..
