MN: ‘Furlani likes so much’ – D’Amico growing in favour to be new Milan sporting director

Tony D’Amico’s name has fluttered around the press in the past fortnight, and there are reports today which suggest that he may be growing in popularity among AC Milan’s management after Fabio Paratici’s omission.

All things seemed clear before this morning, and Milan were on their way to appointing Paratici as the new sporting director. However, new information came to light, according to Matteo Moretto, and this caused a turnaround.

So now, the quest to find a sporting director begins once again, with meetings likely to be revived in the next few days, if not sooner. So, who remains in contention?

Well, Milan News reports that there are two names immediately back in the mixer: Igli Tare and D’Amico, and the report suggests that it is the latter who is gaining momentum for the role. According to the report, he has a profile that CEO Giorgio Furlani ‘likes so much’, and this could have a huge impact.

However, it will not be an easy task to bring him to the club. Atalanta like his work, and he remains under contract with La Dea, so it will be a struggle to bring him to the club.

As a result, no decision is expected for a while.

  2. Seems even the decision making process of the present management is chaotic. i mean why on earth would start discussing anything with paratici when the impact of his ban and pending court cases have not been ironed out properly.
all the hullabaloo just shows how shambolic the planning by milan executives is.
Afterall, last year all theri careful planning and meticulous work had Lopetegui as the result.

  6. In the first place going for Paratici was a mistake, why would you employ someone who was caught manipulating club accounts and transfers, what this club has right now that’s good is the accounting and financial aspects, so it should not bring in someone who has problems with the law…

  7. Milan kicked out pioli, maldini, massara, fonseca, bennacer, calabria and (soon) concencaio ……
WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO KICK OUT THAT USELESS, INCOMPETENT, STUPID HARE BRAINED BRAT CALLED FURLANI WHO CANNOT GET ONE SINGLE DECISION RIGHT???

  8. This is the only one that comes close to Tare’s work, and I am speaking facts based on their precious acomplishments.

    Deeds speak louder then words

  9. Cardinale, is the mafia in Milan, the truth is that Fabio Paratici told him that he will have control of his post as sporting director. but Cardinale didn’t accept, it’s also what happen when Conte was about to become our Manager he ask for managing this team , having a say in a players he will work with, but they refused that’s why he went to Napoli.
