CM: Daniel Maldini’s loan to Verona stalls – a new contender has emerged

By Oliver Fisher -

Daniel Maldini’s future is still up in the air at the moment and it seems a move to Hellas Verona is drifting away, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, the 20-year-old is destined to leave Milan on loan to get more playing time and develop further in with more minutes in a senior team, something that his father Paolo Maldini has also agreed with.

The negotiations with Hellas Verona started very well and seemed to be close to concluding but in the last few days there has been a sharp slowdown. Verona needs time because they must first offload some players having signed Cortinovis on loan from Atalanta.

Meanwhile, Daniel Maldini will only leave Milan if he knows that he will get more opportunities where he lands, and that is why the hypothesis of a loan to Spezia should be considered. Their head coach Luca Gotti gave his approval to the idea of welcoming Daniel Maldini and talks are ongoing in a positive way.
