The conversations between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gerry Cardinale have been ongoing and there is still a chance that he will return to the club in a new role, a report claims.
As has been revealed by DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando (via Milan Zone), there was a new meeting between Cardinale and Ibrahimovic on Monday morning to make some progress.
It has been clear for some time that there is a good chance of Ibrahimovic returning to Milan soon after his retirement, but it is not clear what sort of a role he would be offered.
There is an agreement between Cardinale and Stefano Pioli that having Ibrahimovic at the club will be a positive move, but the Swede does not want to come back with a trivial role, he wants to feel of genuine use.
The next few days are expected to be key in the negotiations between the former striker and the club.
