CM: De Ketelaere plays 45 minutes of friendly with ‘little intensity’ as Milan await answer

By Oliver Fisher -

While AC Milan were beginning their preseason campaign with a 60-minute friendly at Milanello, Club Brugge were facing Eredivise side FC Utrecht.

Calciomercato.com report that Charles de Ketelaere played 45 minutes of the friendly between Club Brugge and Utrecht with ‘little intensity’, taking no risks, having been left out of their previous friendly against FC Copenhagen entirely amid rumours Milan were close to an agreement.

Milan’s offer is on the table and it is €30m with €27m of that being fixed and €3m being bonuses and the Rossoneri have not yet received a response. Despite the possible transfer, the Belgian was deployed as a forward alongside Noa Lang in a 3-5-2, having his best chance in the 24th minute when he drew a save from Barkas.

As mentioned, Milan have put a bid of €30m forward and no official response has yet been received. Club Brugge have sounded the willingness of the potential counterparts Roback and Jungdal but at the moment they are not essential for the success of the operation.

If the white smoke does not arrive by Sunday, De Ketelaere will be on the pitch against Gent for the first game of the season in the Belgian Super Cup.

      1. Leeds can offer him a lot more money though, they’re swimming with cash after their sales and they have an open spot where Raphinha was in the team
