AC Milan are hopeful that their mission in Belgium to sign Charles De Ketelaere will be successful but there is a Plan B in place, a report claims.
Claudio Raimondi reported for Sportmediaset (via MilanNews) that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will have a meeting with the Club Brugge management today and from that it will be understood if the offer of €30m plus €5m in bonuses will be enough.
There are no certainties that it will make the Belgian side accept but there is cautious optimism because the player wants Milan and the competition from Leeds United can now be ‘ruled out’, contrary to reports in England suggesting they are still on stand-by (via TEAMtalk).
The player could return together with the management on the same private jet and then tomorrow undergo medical examinations. However, if things were to not go to plan that Hakim Ziyech would be the back-up plan.
Meanwhile, Milan have a meeting planned with Fabio Paratici and the agents of Japhet Tanganga. The Diavolo are asking for the player on loan with an option to buy, while Spurs want it to be an obligation.
This is just hypothetical milanisti so let’s not get our hopes too high, but fingers crossed we will see De Ketelaere in a Milan kit soon! ⚫🔴

Well if CDK come with us then there will be no new RW next season and we just use lord saladmaker & junior for RW. If CDK failed and we go sign ziyech then our AMF will be brahim & adili. Whatever the choice hope AC Milan can get 2* scudetto next season
It’s possible that after CDK, Ziyech too can come to Milan. In that scenario, I guess Saelemaekers will either be sold or sent out on loan. Messias shoots better a d I believe he can improve on his last season’s performance.
If Saelemaekers goes on loan, he has a chance to return a better player. But you can’t sent Messias on loan and he can’t really bring lots of money in terms of sales, considering his age; but he certainly has squad depth quality.
Whatever happens, let’s hope for the best. Milan can bag the scudetto again and do well in the UCL with favourable draw. I don’t see Inter and juve really better than Milan irrespective of who they both sign. I don’t rate Allegri or Inzaghi above Pioli.

I’ve watched De Ketelaere a lot and he can play in a RW role, at Brugge he was even played at LB one game and he actually even played well there 😂 but nonetheless along with De Ketelaere I hope we can get Ziyech on a loan with option to buy with an initial fee of around 7 million

I think something drastic would have to happen for the deal to not go through. All the parties want the deal to go through, and Brugge knows that if they delay the sale by one year, they will not get a higher sale than now but it might be a lower amount (player is one year older and might have stagnated at the level that is in Belgium league).
Also for Maldini, it wouldn’t look good if they return without a deal, my guess is that they know that they can offer a very good deal and they’re confident that they can get Brugge to accept it, but at this point they just want to speed things up.
Absolutely Maldini knows how late they are and flying to Belgium and being unsuccessful would be a bad sign so fingers crossed he’s pushing extremely hard to get this deal over the line! ⚫🔴
