AC Milan’s pursuit of Charles De Ketelaere has hit the buffers again as the latest offer has not been accepted, reports from Belgium claim.
Numerous sources have claimed that Milan submitted a new offer for the 21-year-old playmaker that is worth around €30m, with the possible inclusion of counterparts to sweeten the deal and confidence that the negotiations can be closed positively.
However, according to what is being reported by the Belgian newspaper HLN (via MilanNews), Milan have not yet presented an offer close to the requests of Club Brugge for De Ketelaere, implying the latest official bid is not close to good enough.
For this reason, the player will not be kept out of today’s friendly match against Dutch side FC Utrecht as was reported, having already missed the friendly at the weekend against FC Copenhagen. Provided the situation hasn’t changed, CDK should also be available for the Super Cup against Genk on Sunday.
😁 this could be it boys… Let’s take our money some place else 🤣🤣🤣.
“implying the latest official bid is not close to good enough.”
Wow. That escalated pretty quickly. From “close to finding agreement” to “the bid is not close to good enough”. 😀
I feel like this is a bs article but we’ll see
95% of them are BS articles, I wouldn’t read anything into any of them unless from a very reputable source (an Ornstein, Romano, di Marzio sort).
They’re making stuff up knowing there’s a chance they’ll look like they were in the know based on the outcome.
However, it would make sense for Brugge to start planning for a season with him, no reason to leave him a long way from match fitness when he might be playing for them soon
100%
Di Marzio said that the negotiations are going well and now all of a sudden this paper says that it’s not even close. I’d trust Di Marzio over them 100%
Just imagine you trust Di Marzio.. he is nowhere near reliable and only talks with “if this happen” than “this could happen” that’s not journalism. Fabrizio, Pedulla, Schira are much much better sources. HLN is not a Dutch paper, it’s a Belgian paper with a lot of good sources inside the clubs so if they say it’s not close to enough than I believe that much more than the Italian papers
Hard to judge the quality of this report. Usually local papers a pretty well informed concerning these things. But, if they are, then DiMarzio has to step up, because according to him, everything is moving in the right direction…
At the same time, it could just be HLD seeing Milan fans waiting and have found the right opportunity to say something like this to get loads of clicks
Okay let’s see if the club number one target is CDK or the fund itself.
HLN is not Dutch but Belgian, they probably have really good sources inside Brugge so I believe this if I’m honest, wouldn’t even surprise me with these shit owners
The source for this was a @HLN_BE reporter, so the Belgian site.
Mate it’s Belgian haha, I’m Dutch and we don’t even have a amateur paper that is called HLN, also its from Brugges so they probably also have really inside Brugge
Could it be that clubs use the trick of “planting” ‘demoralising’ stories to try and conjure advantage in these deals? I doubt any self-respecting journalist would go ahead and conjure up stories for no gain!
There is. Just downloaded the app.
There’s probably a difference of 2-3 million. Milan will make another offer.
If we don’t sign CDK before the end of next week. As Milan fans, we should just know that we ain’t making any notable signings this mercato. They’d just get one young unknown like Lazetic for 4-7mill and label him the future. Mark my words
Don’t say what you don’t know about HLN is a dutch language news paper that base in antwerp belgium
I don’t know why they keep selling milan to people who are not ready to bring out money to buy quality players
Milan will chase all the players in the world but end up not making any quality sinning
@ Kenneth its frustrating mate. Top clubs are re-inforcing and we are sitting back, expecting another luck to win the scudetto and progress in Champions League. The transfer strategy adopted by Milan will take us time to even reach the Champions league semi final, forget about winning it.
Same old cheap Milan. Still won’t spend any money. Just like Botman, Sanchez, Ziyech, etc…. They won’t replace Kessie like they didn’t replace Calhanoglu. Still don’t have a legitimate starting right winger going… again!!! They got away with being cheap last season but with the moves Inter and Juve have made , they will not be so lucky this season. They must spend to compete.
I said this before. I say it again, we are signing de le feu and nobody else this mercato.
Journalists are making a mockery of us fans.
