GdS: De Ketelaere gets ready to taste a full San Siro – his first ten days in Milano

By Oliver Fisher -

Charles De Ketelaere has now been in Italy for just over a week but he is already looking forward to making his Serie A debut for AC Milan.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that De Ketelaere will initially start from the bench in the game against Udinese but is likely to play a segment of the match. Yesterday, Stefano Pioli had his team train on the pitch at San Siro so everyone was able to get a taste.

De Ketelaere arrived at Milan after a very long negotiation with Club Brugge, and he is currently living in a hotel, but it is a temporary thing as he is looking for a home in Milano with his girlfriend Jozefien.

While waiting to find a new accommodation, the 21-year-old has intensified his Italian lessons because he knows very well how important it is to learn the language as soon as possible to become more and more familiar with his team-mates and Pioli’s instructions.

The paper claims that he is already settling in well and the performances against Vicenza and Pergolettese in the friendlies last weekend were positive as he showed speed of execution and desire to make a decisive play.

In recent days, Pioli has talked a lot with him to explain the game principles of his playing style and what he expects from him. Yesterday De Ketelaere trained separately, but he has no physical problems and tomorrow he will taste a full San Siro for the first team.
