New AC Milan signing Charles De Ketelaere has thanks Club Brugge for their role in his development and for allowing him to take the ‘next step’ in his career.

A statement on the club’s official website confirmed the arrival of De Ketelaere and added that the player has signed a contract until 30 June 2027 and will wear the number 90 shirt, which he wore at Brugge.

Club Brugge have said goodbye to De Keteleare, who has officially become a new Milan player. The 21-year-old spoke to the official channel of the Belgian club to give some final words ahead of his new adventure in Italy, with MilanNews relaying his comments.

“Obviously I am very happy with this next step. As a young man you have the ambition to be able to play at the top also abroad. I want to thank everyone at Club for all the opportunities I have had there and it will always be my home,” he said.

De Ketelaere has a long history with Brugge given he came through Youth Sector of the Belgian club before making his debut for the club in 2019. He would go on to make 120 appearances for them, scoring 25 goals including 18 last season, winning the Belgian League three times – most recently last season – and the Belgian Super Cup twice.

Vincent Mannaert – the managing director of Club Brugge – had some parting words for CDK: “As a club we can only be proud that a youth product is leaving for the Italian champions. We have seen and helped Charles grow to become the player he is today and the we wish you every success in your new adventure.”
