Debut and the doubt
As Gazzetta dello Sport writes, 10 players this weekend are already confirmed, MilanNews relays. In the backline, Fikayo Tomori will return, whilst it looks pretty standard elsewhere. In midfield, Adrien Rabiot also returns to the starting lineup.
Then, there are two areas of focus. Firstly, the attacking partnership of Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic. The duo have not played together in almost 100 days, and they will take new roles in the attacking lineup. This, as the report states, creates a bit of a debut for them as a strike partnership.
Elsewhere, there is the debut of Davide Bartesaghi in the Derby della Madonnina. However, he is also more doubtful. The left-back is the only position where there is no set starter, and whilst the Italian is expected to get the nod, he is not a guarantee.
If he is the starting choice for Massimiliano Allegri, it is a massive chance to potentially nail that spot down as his.

I don’t know how Milan thought it was a good idea to get rid of Theo and Jimenez when both of them a levels above Estupinan and Bartesaghi. This management seems to get dumber and dumber every season.
Theo, Yes. Although he did not have his best season, I cannot get rid of the feeling this was a bad idea.

Coincidentally, Real Madrid also thought it was a good idea to get rid of both of those players for the same exact reasons.
Probably for the same reason Real MAdrid did not want to keep them and the same reason no top team tried to sign Theo and he is now playing in Saudi League. Theo was a terrible influence on other players and as you could see at least early this season Milan was playing more as a team with all players fighting together. It’s about more than just talent.
I like that Allegri is being allowed or has the nerve to do this with Davide. In the past, the coaches seems to have been under pressure to play the high price player, at the expense of the youth. Davide has earned this chance and Pervis hasn’t looked up to the task. This wl show everyone at youth level that there is a chance to play at senior level and that can only be good for the club.
