The proposed agreement that would see Ralf Rangnick join AC Milan this summer is on hold for the time being, it is claimed.

There is still various speculation in the media at present regarding Rangnick and whether or not he will start a new adventure in Italy this summer as the Rossoneri’s new head coach and sporting director.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to Sky Italia about the situation (via MilanNews), and explained that a meeting was held with the German in December during which a sort of agreement was outlined, with penalties against one of the two parties in case either turned their back on it.

Di Marzio adds that Rangnick’s will could factor in to the equation and he has currently put a decision on hold, even though the idea of a move to Serie A tempts him as a chance to express and test his philosophy abroad.

It is currently not easy to tell when everything could reach a conclusion, the journalist adds, as there are so many different variables in the equation, however the agreement is there and it could still be respected despite the fact the current season doesn’t look like concluding any time soon.
