Milan already had an agreement with the player on the basis of a two-year deal at €3.5m net per season plus bonuses, but then Chelsea – which keeps options on contracts – renewed his deal. The Rossoneri therefore are waiting for Giroud’s agents to reach an agreement with Chelsea and for the Blues to respect this promise, and then another summer signing will arrive.
