AC Milan striker Lorenzo Colombo is close to leaving the club on loan, a report claims, with Serie B his likely destination.
The signing of Mario Mandzukic was confirmed last week as the striker signed a deal until the end of the season with the option for it to be extended until summer 2022.
This means that if Colombo was perhaps the fourth choice centre-forward before (behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic) he now seems to be another place lower in the pecking order now.
According to a report from Gianlucadimarzio.com, the Rossoneri have indeed decided to send him on loan to Cremonese, with former Milan sporting director Ariedo Braida leading the operation.
They have beaten the competition of Brescia and other teams of Serie B who were interested in the young Milan striker, who will leave in order to find more opportunities in terms of playing time and will hopefully come back a better player.
