Di Marzio: De Ketelaere cuts part of his salary to push through Milan move

By Oliver Fisher -

Charles De Ketelaere is willing to give up a part of his salary in order to push through his move to AC Milan, according to a report.

De Ketelaere is the big target for the Rossoneri this summer, and Di Marzio is reporting that he took matters into his own hands by taking a step towards the Rossoneri. The 21-year-old in fact gave up part of his salary in order to help bridge the gap over transfer fee between Milan and Club Brugge.

While it is not yet clear whether the cut is in the new salary he will earn at Milan or on arrears with Club Brugge, it is certainly a sign that he is personally pushing for the operation to get over the line so he can begin a new adventure in Italy.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have had numerous meetings with Club Brugge and are now waiting for the final green light from the Belgian champions.

      1. Thank you very much! Appreciate it. Either accept or deny we all know we have been a laughing stock on transfer market…we are beginning to steal headlines from Barcelona financial woes… .

  1. Just read on 90min.com the deal is done. Not sure if that’s true or not. States the medical is only thing left to finish.

  2. Smart move from CDK. He’s confident in his skills. If he perform, his salary will be renewed before the contract ends or next year even.

  3. Also from Di Marzio, CdK did not train but not because of his own will. The report that say CdK refuse to train was made up.

  4. so then origi play RW right? or still saladmaker, or might be diaz or junior? I do not think CDK is a RW! And RW and RB is major weakness of that Team, Kalulu did play 4time RB last season, in all those 4 games we also socored from the right side. Calabria is a huge problem in game opening, losing ball rate 75% and i have seen every single match in scudetto seasion. By end of the day highest prio must be strengh the right side. Might be Diaz will cover that part, he always has his head down what is a bigger problem in the middle of the pitch! I would love to discuss that with M&M not sure if they are that smart 😉

    1. Origi was planned for center-forward. CdK seems to be the RW + AM. We might have Leao-Adli-CdK switching positions between possesion.
