Following his return, he was again sent on loan, this time to Ascoli, and whilst he showed positive signs, there is now a question about his future, and how good he can truly be.
Recently, there have been questions about where he would end up this summer, with a departure being the preferred option, and it seemed a move to Spezia could be the preferred option. However, there has been a late swoop by another club.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via Milan News), the goalkeeper has become a focus for Empoli, who are ‘close’ to signing the shot-stopper on loan with an agreement to buy. Spezia were the preferred option for the player, but with Torino, and now Empoli lurking, only time will tell.
