Di Marzio: Milan in talks over sale of defender to Bundesliga side

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still seeking a solution for Fode Ballo-Toure and Werder Bremen have emerged as contenders to sign him, a report claims.

According to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, contacts with Werder Bremen have begun for Ballo-Touré. The Bundesliga side have asked for information and the first discussions have taken place, even if there hasn’t been an official offer yet.

In recent days both Fulham and Bologna have come forward to show interest in the Senegal international. The Premier League side were willing to pay a few million euros for a permanent deal while the Rossoblu wanted a loan with option to buy.

The Milan management preferred the formula proposed by Fulham which would also be the same as Werder Bremen are looking at, i.e. a permanent deal.

However, the London club offered around €4m but Ballo-Toure was not convinced by the idea of moving them because he would like a team that would guarantee him playing time.

  1. Oh nooooooo… Maldini’s Heir said this was the base of Milan and will cause severe disruptions. Nooooo we can’t sell this legend.

  2. Milan will need a lot of time to clean up these mess (Balo Toure, CDK, Kajer, Origi, Messias, Florenzi.) before we can sign new players in the next few weeks.

    1. Compared to the mess that Fassone and Mirabelli left us all those seasons ago (took us nearly 3 years to clear out everyone, and Caldara is STILL here…), Maldini’s mess is nothing.
