Di Marzio: Milan beat competition from other clubs for Hauge – the transfer fee they paid

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan managed to beat competition from numerous clubs to Jens Petter Hauge and acquired him for a bargain fee, it is claimed.

We revealed last month that Milan started a serious pursuit of the winger after the 3-2 win over the Eliteserien side at San Siro in the Europa League, a game in which he scored and notched an assist, and the operation moved quickly.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to Sky Italia (via MilanNews) about the arrival of Hauge in the summer window, confirming that the Rossoneri paid just €4.2million to secure the signature of one of Norway’s brightest young talents.

He added that Milan also signed a player who they had been following for some time, as the Rossoneri management were impressed when he became a direct opponent in that game at San Siro.

Hauge was admired by several clubs, including Cagliari, but Milan were very fast and beat the competition of everyone.
