Transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has suggested that AC Milan are working very secretively when it comes to their hunt for a new striker this summer.
Speaking whilst on Sky Sport 24 (via Milan News), Di Marzio explained that he thinks Milan are working actively to try and get deals done early in the summer, but he is in the dark as to which specific players the club is pushing ahead with.
Milan have been linked with an incredible number of young strikers over the past few weeks as everyone knows they need more depth behind Olivier Giroud and someone who can be an eventual replacement.
On the strategy that Milan are taking, Di Marzio said: “I think Milan are moving but I don’t know the name, they are a very good club working with the lights off. It’s clear that they are working on it, that the scouting department, Ricky Massara, and Paolo Maldini have sounded out the international market to then have a list of young forwards on which to then try to make the investment.”
He also made it clear that the budget will be a huge factor in what Maldini and Massara will be able to do in the market, with Champions League qualification being the key feature.
“It will also depend on the type of budget available, perhaps it will also depend on finishing in the top four, if you finish in the Champions League you certainly have a different economic breathing space. It is clear that in their database they have the right lists on which to strike and if they have started negotiations I am not yet aware of it,” he said.
Depend on budget. But i think they are serious hunting striker now after big disappointment from superstar king origoat
So we got no.clue for the next striker coming up next season
Let us bring in Alvarez even on loan .
Working in the dark? I hope they have night vision cameras?
Maybe they were working in the dark on CDK as well, that would explain a lot.
“I think Milan are moving but I don’t know the name”.
No need to ask Di Marzio. Even I can tell you that much.
didnt they earn a ton of money in cl this season? shouldnt that go to the budget?
That’s goes to breaking even. We’ve been at a loss of about 40m for quite some time now.
better than what we used to have and def better to what other clubs have.
I guess under muricans being green is more important than winning. And id agree to a point
Di Marzio always say a lot about nothing. I wouldn’t even waste my on anything he says. He’s mastered the art of talking in circles and sounding like he has information when in truth he absolutely nothing.
Well after you guys keep posting our expected lineups from looking at training as well as transfer speculations that eventually become true, it’s kind of difficult to work peacefully and more importantly, cheaply!
Hmm I have feeling Nkunku, Aubameyang, Lukaku or Jonathan David will be come soon
I have the same feeling regarding Lukaku or Okafor.
I think even more they qualify UCL spot, milan will get the aging striker or the free agent. I suggest
Elye Wahi or Victor Boniface.
