AC Milan are feeling very confident about the renewal of Rafael Leao having put forward a new offer to the winger, a report claims.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky (via MilanNews), Milan are continuing to negotiate with Leao for the renewal of his contract and confidence is increasing that an agreement can be reached with the Portuguese winger.
Leao for his part has shown a willingness to stay at Milan and contacts between Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and the player’s entourage are ongoing. The amount offered is €7m net per season and the feeling is that a deal can be struck.
Given the various factors making the negotiation difficult such as the fine owed to Sporting CP, the double power of attorney and the interest from top clubs in Europe, getting Leao’s renewal over the line would certainly be a very positive sign for the Rossoneri management.
